Minecraft / AI agent
OpenPlayer
An agent inside the world.
Explore, craft, and play alongside an LLM-powered Minecraft bot.
OpenPlayer connects a language model to a Minecraft bot. It can chat with players, navigate the world, use tools, and keep memory across sessions. Built with JavaScript and Mineflayer, with vision support for observing the game.
The agent loop
intake → context → model → tools → repeat → persist
Player messages and world events feed the agent's context. The model chooses tools to act, observes the results, and continues working through its tasks.
In the world
- Explore — pathfinding, coordinates, and following players.
- Build and craft — mine blocks, place materials, craft items, and smelt resources.
- See and react — screenshots, surroundings, chat, and combat tools.
- Remember — persistent memory, session transcripts, and a task list.
